Australian Poetry Centre Workshop - Melbourne

Using ‘example’ poems, Katherine Gallagher will work with participants to look at different ways of approaching personal experience in writing-exercises – letting go of the 1st person or presenting through other voices in interesting, diverse ways, with constructive feedback.

Katherine Gallagher (www.katherine-gallagher.com) is a widely-published award-winning poet and experienced poetry tutor. She has published five full-length collections of poetry, the most recent being Carnival Edge: New & Selected Poems (Arc Publications, 2010, distributed in Australia by Eleanor Brasch Enterprises). Winner of the 1981 Warana Poetry Prize, she has also received various other awards, most recently a 2008 Foundation Award from the London Society of Authors.
