QWC Moves to Cultural Precinct [13.01.2010]
Queensland Writers Centre (QWC) has relocated as a strategic tenant of the State Library of Queensland, within the Cultural Centre Precinct of Brisbane’s South Bank.
QWC will join with the Queensland Poetry Festival, Book Links (Qld), the Children’s Book Council of Australia (Qld) and if: book Australia (the Institute for the Future of the Book) to lead an innovative new headquarters for writing and reading for Queensland.
Partnering with the State Library and other allied writing organisations will provide a raft of new opportunities for QWC and our members - including having access to the some of the world’s leading resources, events, launches, workshops, residencies, and festivals.
