extempore

extempore is a bi-annual (May and November) journal of writing and art inspired by jazz and improvised music.

This most spontaneous and vital of music genres-demanding creativity in-the-moment from its musicians-also feeds the creativity of others – the writers, painters and poets who sit in the audience.

extempore’s pages are filled with that creativity…

Interviews, Fiction, Essays, Poetry, Photographs, Prints, Sketches, PLUS a CD of music with each issue.
