Pantera Press

Pantera Press is independent and small, but with some really big differences. We’re thrilled about what we’re doing. We hope you will get excited too.
Our core goal is to be a great new home for Australia’s next generation of best-loved authors™.
So our passions are to publish books that readers will rave about by discovering & nurturing the talented new authors who create them… previously unpublished authors of well-written, riveting reads in quality popular fiction or non-fiction.
We launched our first books in May 2010, with more to come throughout the year. And next year’s list is already taking shape.
Also, there’s our unique mix of business & philanthropic objectives: good books doing good things™.
As well as launching talented new authors, Pantera Press will use some of our profits & efforts to promote the joys of reading & quality writing, to foster debate of important ideas & issues, & to help close the literacy gap.
Pantera Press’s readers will not only get great stories & insights, but they’ll feel good about it. In May 2010, Pantera Press was pleased to announce a new partnership with The Smith Family and Let’s Read, a literacy program for pre-school children & their families which The Smith Family is implementing around Australia, including Indigenous communities. Pantera Press also sponsors the prestigious Walkley Awards for excellence in newspaper feature writing.
We welcome unsolicited submissions. We don’t have a slush pile. Instead, we see unsolicited manuscripts as a diamond mine. And we are finding a few gems.

Our distribution:
To get our books into readers' hands, Pantera Press has developed a strong distribution partnership with major Australian & NZ book distributor Simon & Schuster Australia, who says: “We believe Pantera Press is destined to become a major independent publishing force in Australia & NZ.”
