Participants will learn about the grass-roots nature of independent bookselling and the importance of those bookshops in developing an audience for your work; a guide to the buying policies of chains; the benefits of using a wholesaler or distributor to reach the customer through bookshops; the Bookseller as your customer; approaching booksellers with proposals; and variations in buying patterns and store operations
